How did I end up finding what I was good at in college? And it’s not what I was in there for.
Back in school, I’m good with computers and that’s the reason I choose the IT branch in my bachelor’s. (duh! like every student in India)
And It turns out that coding is not my thing.
So I started exploring other activities going on and took part in every club: music, coding, drama, book-reading, you name it I was there.
During the exploration, I found dozens of things that I’m not good at.
And in my final year, while exploring the depth of Front-end programming, I found UI/UX design. For the next 7–8 months, I spend most of my time learning more about it. That’s all I did.
By the end of the 7th semester, I got a design internship at IIM Ahmedabad.
There is something I strongly believe in and want to spread the message that is, ‘’You don’t find what you’re good at, by exploring one or two things, you need to keep exploring. It is a discovery process, not a match made in heaven.”
So how did you find what you’re good at? Let me know in the comments below
